I just watched the Last Man teaser on youtube, and, all I have to say is ( WHAT?!?!?!?!?????? (This contains spoilers, obviously, which were in the teaser thingy. Ranty.) )

SGA 4x17 ( Midway )

On a separate, completely unrelated note, I have found mint liqueur. I think it's crème de menthe? It is yum. It's called Get31, I had never heard of it, but it was in the ATAC, and I put it in a hot chocolate last night, and tonight I put it in some milk on ice. It was pretty darn tasty. The bottle promises 'menthe intense', or, yes, intense mint flavor. Hm. Can't find it online, so I'll have to take a picture. The bottle's nice, aside from the tacky name portion. Will photograph/upload something after the vacation. Tomorrow I leave for Paris! Yay!

Life:

Went for a walk today. It was nice. Was going to go with people, but they bailed out, but it was still very pretty! I took a few pictures, following is one of my favorites so far:




Yup. That's a lot of wine bottles. I really like throwing the bottles down into the thing - there's a huge space below the ground where they land/are kept until pickup, and when you stand on the ground above it and drop your bottles in you can feel the impact, and hear the crash of breaking glass. Wheee!

It was sunny this afternoon, but a bit chilly. It's now about 8:30, and I still haven't received my schedule for the next three weeks, which includes the schedule for tomorrow, so I'm a bit annoyed, cause I don't know whether or not I'm working. I'm assuming I'm not, because the group has just taken their habilitation, and as far as I know class for them is over, except for the two who didn't pass, but we haven't really discussed what's happening with them. Yup. So. Trying not to feel too frustrated, but, really, still not having your schedule for the next week this late on a Sunday night is just inconsiderate. Argh.

I'm spending the night at N's tonight cause I'm alone in the apartment as usual, and it's freaking me out cause of all the scaffolding we've got up at the moment. It makes me feel very ... accessible.

Yup. Someone is singing/playing creepy music. I'm packing and going. Will post more later.

So. I walked to N's, and on my way there I passed a group of university students (I'm assuming) who were walking around with long squeegee sticks, wearing wigs and paper/sharpie signs taped on their backs and fronts that said "Opération Nuit Etoilée", or, Operation Starry Night. One of them was carrying a naked male mannequin torso. It reminded me of Hell Week at Bryn Mawr, and that I miss partaking in crazy hijinks. Back at the apartment, going to do some dishes, take a shower, hang at a café and read/write. :)

So. I was planning a trip with my mom, who is coming to visit me in France, and at first we were thinking of going to Provence/Côte d'Azur, cause it's winter, and Provence/C d'A is a little warmer. And I found this:

But really, it looks like a lot of fun. I am sad that we are not going. I'm tempted to try and go myself, anyway. It's just that the train times are kind of horrendous, and I don't want for us to spend our vacation in a moving vehicle. Hmmm... Thinking Vallée de la Loire. Tours is 70 minutes by TGV from Paris, and as far as I have read, the chateaux are relatively easy to get to by train/bus. hm hm hm.

Yeah. It's late, so, not going in depth, but Quarantine wins. It wins a lot. I will have to watch it again and expound when I'm not (thankfully!) falling asleep. Perhaps tomorrow night :) Yay yay yay.

Did I mention I've been having trouble sleeping? This morning at 5, the morning before at a similar time, same for before, Thursday morning after 7 - that sucked. Yup. Not ok.

I am going to watch The Seeker:The Dark is Rising in French. One of the main pulls is that the evil character is Doctor Who. Or, you know, Christopher Eccleston. Am I spelling that right? I... don't know what to say for myself. Except that that girl looks way to old for the main character kid...
